Military Veterans MC | Bike Blessing
Blessing of the Military Veterans MC
On June 21, 2024, a group of brothers came together with their spouses as one family. What do these men have in common? The love of motorcycles, the open roads and their bond as United States Military Veterans. They are the Military Veterans MC!
I was humbled when their Sgt of Arms asked if I would come out and do a blessing upon their club and each motorcycle and rider. As I waited at the Bonfire Bar & Grill in the quiet town of Glendale, I thought of our mission within the Christian Motorcyclists Association i .e. changing the world, one heart at a time. We accomplish this through the evangelistic outreach primarily to the motorcycling community.
I then heard the low rumble of motorcycles coming my way. The members of MVMC had arrived and greetings were made. We began in prayer asking our Lord to be with each and every present and then read a verse from the book of Psalms. We then stood together, each rider by his bike, and asked a blessing upon their club and each individual motorcycle, rider and spouse.
Before they rode off for the day, I recited the Biker’s Prayer:
May the sun rise up in front of you, May the rain fall behind you,
and the wind follow beside you. May our God guard your travels, for the Lord knows the road ahead of you. Keep the riders of MVMC safe, Lord, through swirling turns and rolling hills. Let the eagle guide you to the mountaintops, Let the moonlight guide you through the night, Let the air of spring breathe life into your soul,
To begin a new journey and adventure, out on the open road.
Thank you MVMC for including me in your weekend’s events and making me feel at home.

You got it. Hwy 138 where the rivers collide is the start to what they call the highway of waterfalls.
Those Kelty 3 person tents are pretty sweet for the price. I bought one for ~$125 about 10 years ago and it’s a tank. There were 60mph gusts and no damage. Not a ton of room but if you wanted to edged into camping I’d buy a similar tent.
Can’t agree with ya more. We bought it for motocamping with my son. It is a little tight but we’re able to get our gear and get a good night sleep in it. We also have the Kelty Grand Mesa 2P which is great for one person.

Great condition for the year . Honestly stock it’s pretty bullet proof . I’d just put hand guards / bark busters and maybe a skid plate . If Bubba J is going to ride it and has trouble getting his feet down then there are lower link options . I’ll be at Windy Waters in Sept with my 2014 klx , hope to snag a pic or two with you folks !

@@RaptorPackAdventures the skid plate was on my bike when I got . Mine is pretty simple , just a bent piece of aluminum. I think as long as the mounting process goes well almost any brand would do . Just check the reviews to see if folks complain about fitment and if not you should be golden

We actually found the same bolts but longer at a local machine shop. Worked out perfect for the install

Thanks for the video, Raptor Dan. I am about to purchase a 2019 K 1600 B with very low miles. Currently own a 2017 BMW RT and love it. Took a ride out to the northwest in August. It handles very well but not so comfortable for a 6000 miles trip. Anyway. I like the windshield choice but didn't catch the mnfg name?
